2012. LLC NanOptika is founded
To restore Russia’s leadership in the production of modern intraocular lenses (IOL). This goal was standed by the company “Nanoptika“, a division of “NanoVision group” (“NanoVision group“). Among the tasks set is to make effective surgical care in ophthalmology more accessible. A high bar was more than justified; after all, one of the founders of the company has become a famous eye surgeon Dmitry Dementyev. Dr. Dementyev is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 1996, a member of the American society of Refractive Surgery and Cataract Surgery, a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive surgeons, a member International society of Refractive Surgeons, member of the Italian Ophthalmologic Association.
“NanoCrystals™ – this is the name given to intraocular lenses produced by the company “Nanoptika“. This is due to the fact nanotechnologies and scientific developments from the world’s leading experts in ophthalmology were introduced into the production process.
2015. START OF PRODUCTION
A significant event was the opening of production of the company “Nanoptika” in Zelenograd.
The total area of clean production premises of LLC “Nanoptika” is 480 m2. Of these, 300 m2 meet the ISO 8 class, and 180 m2 have an even higher purity tolerance corresponding to the ISO 7 standard, according to ISO 13485: 2016
In the same year, intraocular lenses “Nanochrustaliki™” produced by LLC “Nanoptika” were presented to the participants of the European Congress of cataract and refractive surgeons in Barcelona at the stand of “NanoVision group”. International experts in the field of cataract surgery highly appreciated both the model range and the latest technology for manufacturing a perfectly smooth surface of the optical part of the IOL.

2016. REGISTRATION IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Manufactured using modern technology, NanoCrystals ™ have confirmed their safety, cleanliness and full compliance with the characteristics of reference intraocular lenses of premium class from foreign manufacturers. Based on a comparative analysis with reference hydrophobic and hydrophilic intraocular lenses, “NanoCrystals” received a registration certificate.
2017. CLINICAL EXPERTISE
The high evaluation of clinical application of “NanoCrystals” were obtained from the S. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Federal State Institution is one of the largest and most comprehensive ophthalmic clinics in the world and from the leading Russian centers of cataract surgery
2018. PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT
Additional improvements were introduced, which increased the usability of “NanoCrystals» for surgeons. To reduce the time required to prepare for implantation, the NanoСrystal Aquamarin has held in right position and ready to be inserted into the cartridge.
For the production of NanoСrystal Citrin, have registrated a new material of Italian production without the effect of “glistening”, characteristic of most hydrophobic materials. This is second generation of acryl with increased water content to 2.9% .
2019. CONTRACT MANUFACTURING
“Nanoptika” LLC and American ophthalmic medical products manufacturer “Alcon” have signed an agreement about intraocular lenses (IOL, artificial lenses) being used in cataract treatment production localization
Within the framework of the Congress “Modern technologies of cataract and refractive surgery”, famous Russian surgeon D. D. Dementiev and Italian surgeon Lucho Zeppa have performed demonstrative operations of high-tech intraocular lenses “NanoСrystals” Aquamarine and Citrine modern models implantations.
